Roraima / 6 Days Trekking Tour

1

Day 1:

We drive from Santa Elena 90 min with the jeep to Paraitepuy, which is at 1200 m altitude. From Paraitepuy we walk about 4 hours to Camp Tök. The camp is at an altitude of 1050m. A warm dinner is freshly prepared at the camp.
2

Day 2

After breakfast begins a five-hour hike to Basecamp, at 1870m altitude. Two rivers are crossed with the help of the guides. At high water it is a real adventure, especially since the stones are extremely smooth. We recommend to wear socks to reduce the risk of slipping. Our guides stretch a rope over the river during high water and help with advice and action. This hike leads past orchids and carnivorous plants. In the Basecamp begins the jungle, which offers numerous photographs. A light lunch is served on the way and a warm dinner is served at the camp.

Day 3

After breakfast, two hours hike with a steep gradient through the jungle to the wall of the Roraima and then again two hours to the plateau. The high plateau is at an altitude of 2.800m. The path leads past grotesque stone formations. On top of it, petrified dragon heads and a petrified sea turtle await us! A light lunch is served at the camp. The afternoon is now an exploration of the plateau. A warm dinner is freshly prepared at the camp.

Day 4

After breakfast, an exploration of the plateau of Roraima follows. We encounter bizarre rock formations that remind us of faces, fossilized lizards, fantasy figures and fairy witches. Let yourself be captivated by countless crystals and the abysses of the Roraima. An unforgettable day. Do not be surprised you, if you remember this day on a moon walk. A light lunch is served on the way and a warm dinner we get at the camp.
5

Day 5

After breakfast, we have the opportunity to take a few last photos before the descent begins. This is followed by a seven-hour hike from 2.800m down to 1.050m. The hike ends at the camp of the river Tök. The route has three steep slopes and the two rivers have to be crossed again. A light lunch is served on the way and a warm dinner at the camp. There a refreshing bath awaits us at a small waterfall with an indescribable panorama view on the KUKENAN and RORAIMA.
6

Day 6

After breakfast we will go for the last four hours to Paraitepuy. The employees of the National Park then search each individual very thoroughly for crystals, since it is forbidden to take them with them. In Paraitepuy we will have lunch and cold drinks! We then return to Santa Elena.
