Day 1
We start at 8:00 am from Santa Elena. Our first stop is the Jaspe waterfall. The entire riverbed is made of the bright red Jaspe stone and offers a great photo-motif! Continue for two hours along a well paved road to “Luepa”. There the off-road adventure begins with the off-road vehicle. We need two to three hours depending on the weather to Kavanayen which lies in the heart of the Gran Sabana! After lunch, we visit a religious mission, where Friars of the Franciscan Order teach the Indians an improved agriculture. For the last 15 km to Mantopai we need about an hour. An incredible way! The entire route is littered with orchids and carnivorous plants. Our camp is right next to the river Karuai and at the foot of the Sororopan Table Mountain! Dinner and overnight in one of the most beautiful camps of the Gran Sabana!

Day 2
After breakfast, we start with an Indian a 3-hour jungle hike with explanation of the medicinal plants, hunting techniques and visit the fields where the Indians cultivate fruits and vegetables and brew their typical beer. With some luck you can see snakes, birds, rodents, tapirs or monkeys. Lunch is served at the camp and we can rest for an hour. In the afternoon we explore the river Karuai, enjoy a natural water slide and see a small waterfall just 15 minutes from the camp. Many carnivorous plants and orchids adorn the river bank. Our overnight stay is once again in Mantopai.

Day 3
On the third day we will drive to the Indian village Iboribo and from there take another 20 minutes by boat on the Aponwao river to Aponwao waterfall. A breath taking spectacle when the water masses fall down the 107 m high waterfall Chinak Meru! After watching the waterfall and taking photos, we go back to the Indian village. After lunch we drive to our camp Rápidos de Kamoiran.

Day 4
After breakfast we drive to the Kawí waterfall. There we take an extensive bath under the waterfall or jump from the 8 m high cliff into the nature pool! Then we continue to a viewpoint for the Table Mountains. We will have lunch in the Indian village of San Francisco de Yuruani. The last attraction of the day is the La Cortina waterfall. If the water level allows, you can walk behind this spectacular waterfall to its centre. An unforgettable experience for adrenaline-addicts! We reach Santa Elena in the late afternoon.
